It all started when...
Designer/entrepreneur Samuel Schimek began I Heart Denver as a retail experiment and artist incubator in 2012, creating a viable business model for local makers looking to earn a living doing what they love most. Incredibly, Schimek accomplished this by thinking small: I Heart Denver, located at the Denver Pavilions in downtown Denver, was conceived as a small business bringing exposure to even smaller businesses exclusive to Colorado, while serving a mixed clientele of tourists and locals.
What kind of merchandise will you find at I Heart Denver stores? Wares, sold on a consignment basis, include an essential stock of Colorado-centric mementos, from hand-screen-printed T-shirts, glassware and stationery to original works of art and locally designed furniture and clothing, bringing recognition to dozens of local microbusinesses. Artists retain 70 percent of profits from sales of their work, growing their businesses and retail
exposure over time, all as part of I Heart Denver’s win-win business model.
I Heart Denver Store has two locations in the metro area.
